3. Know that during the Cultural Revolution of 1966-1976, every part of Chinese culture had to praise Mao & his policies.

Science
Objectives:
1. Know that Raptors are birds of prey that use their strong feet, talons and hooked beaks to catch and kill their prey.
2. Look at owl behavior
3. Dissect an owl pellet 
4. Research bird of choice and present findings to classmates



Students will make a field guide of Texas birds using pictures from the Texas Parks & Wildlife publication.  For coloring accuracy, search birds here:  https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/


Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.

Poetry:  Our third quarter poem is "The Dentist and the Crocodile".  Additional copies here.

Geography:  We are memorizing the countries of the former USSR this week.  The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling states on a map. A word bank is provided.

History: Continue your memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs to help

with this. Here are two: US Presidents to "America" and US PresidentsFor assessment, students will write or sing all the presidents' first and last names. Due 5/6
