Math
Objectives:
1. Recognize, measure, and draw angles between 180 and 360 degrees
2. Practice skills from Ch 15
3. Assess angles
4. Recognize perpendicular lines in figures and verify that they intersect at right angles.
Note: Here are school guidelines for proctoring a test:
- Please do not review the test ahead of time.
- Tell your child when it’s time to begin and let them know that you will not be available for questions until after they complete the test.
- After they have completed the test have them seal it in an envelope that you have placed beside them ahead of time.
- Return it to school on Monday for grading.
Before the test, you may remind them:
- Use your protractor and set square when drawing angles (don't draw freehand)
- to show all of their calculations
- check all work and measurements carefully

Objectives:
1. Know that Israel and its neighboring countries have had conflict for many years.
2. Share Vietnam Era memories from interviews of people living during the Vietnam War.
3. Learn about the life and ministry of Billy Graham
4. Identify problems associated with Communism in the Soviet Union.
5. Identify why it was easy for the Soviet Union to invade Czechoslovakia.
6. Identify why it was difficult for the Soviet Union to invade Afghanistan.
Science
Objectives:
1. Practice bird identification through field marks and songs
2. Write questions to learn about a bird of your choice.
3. Research to find answers and make a poster displaying findings.
Memory Work: Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
Poetry: Our third quarter poem is "The Dentist and the Crocodile". Additional copies here.
Geography: We are memorizing the countries of the former USSR this week. The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling states on a map. A word bank is provided.
History: Continue your memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs to help
with this. Here are two: US Presidents to "America" and US Presidents. For assessment, students will write or sing all the presidents' first and last names. Due 5/6
