Thursday, our tiny Monarch butterfly caterpillars arrived. We will nurture them with milkweed leaves in hopes of seeing them move through their growth stages to become butterflies. If you have milkweed to share, please let me know.

Math

Begin math with a 5-minute warm-up of Multiplication facts. The time could be spent filling in a multiplication chart.

Time spent memorizing these facts will greatly reduce homework time and help your student be successful in

upcoming multiplication and long division lessons.

Objectives:
1. Multiply up to a four-digit number by a one-digit number.
2. Multiply a two-digit number by a two-digit multiple of 10.

Spelling
Objective: Spell multi-syllable words ending in ss.

Reading

Please review vocabulary prior to reading.

1. Introduce the Story Sequence Chart
