Below are a few photos of a 2-team, relay game we played for History to help understand how 2 railroad companies vied to complete the first transcontinental railroad in the U.S. to meet at Promontory Summit.

Math
Continue memorizing multiplication/division facts 1-12. Start each day with a Facts Practice warm-up of either multiplication or division. We will assess multiplication facts on Wednesday.
Objectives:
1. Estimate and find quotients using long division
2. Assess multiplication skills
3. Divide up to a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number.
4. Practice division.
Spelling
Objective: Analyze two ways to spell the sound of /shun/
Reading
Review each chapter's vocabulary prior to reading. Please encourage child to complete all written assignments
and at least 3 in each sequences of written questions with care and thoughtfulness. This book uses a lot of language from
the Civil War era so I encourage you to read and discuss each chapter with your child to help then understand the text.
Objectives:
1. Identify types of literary conflict in The Perilous Road.
2. Engage in discussion, sharing ideas, meaning, & information from the reading.
3. Identify literary elements, themes, and changed characters in The Perilous Road.
Writing
