Please continue to complete two Math Fact B1 - B6 worksheets per week until your child can complete each worksheet in 5 min with 98% accuracy. Set the timer for 5 min and circle the last problem your child completes. Then complete the page, correct, and return to school for recording.  

Objectives:

3. Express angles in terms of degrees and Identify acute, obtuse, straight, and reflex angles.

4. Measure angles between 0 and 180 degrees with a protractor


Spelling

Objectives:

1. Share information about an American president.

2. Know that Martin Luther King Jr. was a national leader of the Civil Rights Movement of 1950-1968

3. Become familiar with MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech

4. Write a personal "Dream" speech

5. Know that American soldiers fought against communist North Vietnam for 8 years in a controversial war.

Science
Objectives:
1. Experiment with eggshell strength
2. Observe a growing chick embryo through candling
3. Identify precocial birds

Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.

Poetry:  Our third quarter poem is "The Dentist and the Crocodile".  Additional copies here.

Geography:  We are assessing Eastern Europe this week.  The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling states on a map. A word bank is provided.

History: Continue your memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs to help

with this. Here are two: US Presidents to "America" and US PresidentsFor assessment, students will write or sing all the presidents' first and last names. Due 5/8.
