Please continue to complete two Math Fact worksheets per week. Set the timer for 5 min and circle the last problem your child completes. Then complete the page, correct, and return to school for recording.

1. Write a story consisting of 3 paragraphs that describe what is happening in a series of pictures.
2. Practice the Writing from Pictures structure: Central Fact, Details, and Clincher for each paragraph.
3. Use stylistic techniques of incorporating 6 dress-ups into each paragraph.
4. Practice writing skills

History 

Objectives:

1. Know that Chairman Mao brought Communism to China in 1949.
2. Know that the Korean War resulted in the country being divided into Communist North Korea and democratic South Korea.
3. Identify facts about Korean culture.
4. Learn about the challenges faced by North Koreans.

Science
Objectives: 
1. Identify types of nests and the birds that make them.
2. Build a nest

Memory Work:  Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.

Poetry:  Our third quarter poem is "In Christ Alone".  These lyrics are set to music and you can find numerous renditions online. Here is one. In Christ Alone. Additional copies here.

Geography:  We are beginning our study of Eastern Europe this week.  The song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for labeling countries on a map. A word bank is provided.

History: Continue your memorization of the US Presidents. There are several YouTube video songs to help

with this. Here are two: US Presidents to "America" and US PresidentsFor assessment, students will write or sing all the presidents' first and last names.
